Raw Materials
In order to maintain the production processes of our units a high use of energy is necessary. As energy is not only expensive but also a resource which is not unlimited we did not spare any costs in order to save energy. In 1996 we installed a coupled Power-Heat-Station using the energy produced in a multiple way: For example it supplies power for the operation of our units and steam for heating our stretching cylinders or for heating the buildings.
The most important base material for the production of film is the PP-resin. The resin we are using is pure and without any chemical additives. Consequently we do not have any problems with regard to waste water during the production of film.
The resin is supplied in tankers and stocked in big silos. Owing to these big silos we could minimize our expense for packaging by 98 %.
The waste product during the production of film is the regranulate. This is made directly on-site out of film scrap. It is sold to the converting industry and used for example as film for packaging of drugs and for the production of decoration layers.
In addition to that we are using for transport to the customer reusable cores
and pallets which is reducing our costs for packaging material considerably
