In 1995, what was then Kopafol Elektrofolien GmbH evolved into Kopafilm Elektrofolien GmbH.
Nowadays about 35 employees are working on the production of biaxially oriented Polypropylene Film (BOPP) in Oberschmitten.
In an area of 42,000 sqm the capacity of Kopafilm is about 3,000 tonnes of film per year which is produced on two lines.
- Line 1 – trim 3.500 mm
- Line 2 – trim 3.500 mm
The film is distributed internationally by worldwide representatives. Exports constitute about 75% of our production. Main application areas for our products, in densities of 3,0 and 20 µm, are:
- Capacitors (electro industry)
- Laminating (packaging industry)
